The recent passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (Senate Bill 1867), otherwise known as the “Indefinite Detention Bill,” should scare the heck out of anyone who loves the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. This bill effectively hands over control to the military to arrest, torture and even kill terrorists on American soil. It also allows the military to hold suspected terrorists indefinitely without a trial or due process. This applies to both non-citizens and citizens of the United States! With this bill, you are not innocent until proven guilty. You are guilty until proven innocent, and you may never get a trial to defend yourself. There is surprisingly little written in the mainstream media about this Senate bill that passed 93 to 7 at the end of November.

Sakemoto, you are right on but you forgot one very important Wal-Mart policy. They are the only ones who actively promote the hiring of handicap and senior citizens. These are the most discriminated against job seekers. It takes tremendous courage and patience on the part of Wal-Mart management to do this. My heart goes out to these employees every time I see them in the store doing their very best to do a good job. Wal-Mart will get all my business.

On the debates - I don't think it is necessary to have a debate on Dec 27 when families are still sharing the holiday . I think Donald Trump's idea is alright, but we have (2) already scheduled for December and it is a little much for another one to come up (2) days after Christmas... Get real Donald and don't push it. I don't blame some of them for not accepting the invite. Newt is because he knows he is ahead and that makes the rest of them look bad... Lets be reasonable here and don't push it..... This debate is not necessary for the candidates - we have enough going on in December already....

We have governor's like Bev Perdue in North Carolina that recently went over to China to promote trade. Look what she has done and then giving these companies that will deal with us tax free status if you put it in North Carolina.
Donald Trump needs to mention how the North Carolina Governor handles her state going in foreign countries trying to get them to come to North Carolina and we will give you a sweet deal to locate here.

Obama would be wise to listen to T.Bone Pickens on OIL... I don't think Obama wants American's to succeed . He seems to be all foreign country and doesn't seem to make any bones about it. I hope people will remember when they go to the polls this time around what this country has suffered since he has conned himself in office this time with people that hated Bush and wanted change...

Greta, Interesting commentary on Morning Joe from T Boone Pickens. He wondered how much more money the Feds want from him, has paid in 27 million in Taxes. He says the Energy Industry would create jobs and of course the Obama administration killed the Pipeline and has EPA has been destroying the Coal Industry. T Boone says the U.S. has an unbelieveable opportunity to make America Independent from Foreign Oil,

(This administration does not even understand the resources the U.S. has)...This country is run by Dumbos.....and this is Obama's Achilles Heel. China is going to get the oil as a result of Obama and Environmentalists Ignorance!

If Fox don't stop pushing Newt Gingrich I will stop tuning in. Fox claims to be fair and balanced, I'm not seeing it. Fox complains about the liberal media being bias but don't see their own bias. Some of us would like to see other GOP candidates get fair treatment. Gingrich is a windbag tired of hearing him tell how smart he is, how smart can he be with his background? Harry Truman said "“he would never knowingly hire a person that had cheated on their wife. If he will lie to his wife, he’ll lie to me and everyone else. And if he’ll break his oath of marriage, he’ll break his oath of office”. I like Truman’s logic and believe it. I still think high moral standards and honesty are important for the person that holds the highest office in our country.

A few days ago, you had Donald Trump on your show talking about Chinese business policy. He mentioned about manufacturing requirements. The actual policy that they have is: "If you want to sell it there, you have to make it there".

We should have the same policy here towards Chinese.
"If you want to sell it here, you have to make it here." Any companies in China that want to sell here, would have to make it here. That would bring business back.

I like Brit Hume. I also like Newt Gingrich. Brit was wrong about why Evangelicals do not like Romney. I am an Evangelical, but my dislike for Romney has nothing to do with Mormonism. He lacks passion, he is a condescending, arrogant "city slicker" type. He is just the type of person that seemingly would look down on Southerners & those from the Appalachian region. While I respect his clean, wholesome family success, I do not believe he can identify with the common man. He just seems "stuck up". However, he would be a million times better than the joke of a president we have now. I have great confidence that Speaker Gingrich would make a fantastic president. Brit was right when he said that Evangelicals can forgive the past, if that person is repentent.

So touching to see Mr. Trump's shrine to his own fame!! Query: Why do the candidates publicize the Trump confabs? It is a S-H-O-W. If candidates are seeking his "advice" they can meet quietly, like they do with many others who are not camera hogs! FOX is silent partner if the P.R. orgy..........but why?? Can you say "Ratings"? When FOX/Limbaugh/et al burst on the scene, the little guy image took off because they were an alternate source of news - period. Now that they have made it...tasted the money they are well on the way to being the establishment....pity
